SUMMARY:CANCELED: Dinner at 8\, Dead by 9 Murder Mystery
DESCRIPTION:CANCELED \nState College Community Theater returns to present this deliciously clever comedy murder mystery. \nThe action takes place around the head table of a banquet room where guests—and of course your audience members—are expecting a dinner theatre show. But when the guest of honor\, Eleanor Van Heusen\, falls face first into her plate of spaghetti\, the guests are suddenly witnesses to a murder! Luckily\, Inspector Bungles is there to help solve this whodunit. To say the least\, Eleanor wasn’t loved by all. In fact\, all her family members and even the chef have reasons to kill her. Hilarity ensues as they each reveal their own murder plans\, yet all claim innocence. \nTickets are $20 for general admission\, $16 for Arts Council members. \nTickets are available at the Huntingdon County Arts Center during normal business hours or online at this link. \n

SUMMARY:A Christmas Carol
DESCRIPTION:The story follows Ebenezer Scrooge\, a bitter and miserly old man who views Christmas as a humbug and disdains the plight of the poor. On Christmas Eve\, he is visited by the ghost of his former business partner\, Jacob Marley\, who warns him to change his ways or face eternal torment. Scrooge is then led on a supernatural journey by the Ghosts of Christmas Past\, Present\, and Yet to Come\, who reveal the joy he has lost and the dark future that awaits him. \nAfter witnessing the impact of his cruelty\, Scrooge awakens with a transformed heart\, dedicated to honoring the spirit of Christmas through generosity and kindness. This timeless tale remains the definitive story of redemption and the importance of human connection. “A Christmas Carol” runs November 20-22 and November 27-29.
