The shapes in his paintings suggest things like woven fabric\, stained glass\, or even the pathways of the brain — forms that can bring people together and keep them apart at the same time. The places where color fades or a line cracks open aren’t mistakes. They’re invitations to look deeper. Figures have begun to appear in the work as well — not as portraits\, but as emotional presences. They rise out of the patterns around them and fade back into them\, much the way people can feel both close and distant at the same time. \nThe title Both Can Be True says it simply: connection and separation\, memory and the present moment\, uncertainty and hope can all exist at once. The work doesn’t try to choose between them. It just makes room for all of it. Audia has spent more than two decades teaching art and mentoring young artists. That spirit of patience and openness comes through in every piece. \nThe exhibit will be on display from August 6 to September 5\, with an opening reception on August 6 from 6 to 8 p.m.
