Description
Step back in time for an evening of laughter and wonder at our Silent Film Night on Saturday, January 23, at 7:00 p.m.
The featured film is Sherlock Jr., the beloved comedy starring Buster Keaton.
Keaton plays a kindly movie projectionist who dreams of becoming a great detective. When his fiancée (Kathryn McGuire) is robbed and he is framed for the crime by a local thief (Ward Crane), he sets out to clear his name using his amateur sleuthing skills.
After a chase to the train station leaves him stuck, he returns to his theater, falls asleep, and dreams that he is the legendary Sherlock Holmes.
Adding to the magic, Andrew Greene will accompany the film live on piano, bringing the story to life just as audiences experienced it a century ago.
Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Tickets are $20 for general admission, $16 for Arts Council members.
