Submit Your Artwork to the Fair
Do you like to show off your artwork? Do you want the chance to win some money? Every year, the Arts Council operates the Art Station for the Huntingdon County Fair, accepting entries in art and photography by both children and adults.
Anyone can submit entries for Department 19, Art and Photography, as well as the children’s art, Department 11, Section 19.1. You can enter items by preregistering online at entries.huntingdocountyfair.com. Entries will be accepted on Saturday, August 8, from 11 am to 5 pm at the Art Station (the building next to the Midway Stage). Entries not preregistered can even be accepted on Saturday, August 8, but you must go to the Livestock Office to register first.
You can only enter one entry per class. All exhibits must have been made by the exhibitor, and no commercial articles or kits are accepted. We also do not allow reproductions of original artwork.
There are three children’s classes (broken up into 4 age groups): 2-D, 3-D, and Photography. Adults can also only enter one item in each class. Classes for 2-D art include Pen & Ink, Charcoal, Pastels, Pencil, Colored Pencil, Mixed Media/Collages, Prints/Etching/Stamp Art, Computer Art, Photography Black & White, Photography Color, Oil, Watercolor, and Acrylic.
Classes for 3-D art include Stained Glass, Art Glass (Fused or Blown Glass), Bead Work, Hand Woven Pieces, Jewelry (Hand Wrought, not Beaded), Fabric Art, Found Art/Recycled Art, Hand Built or Thrown Pottery or Stoneware, Paper Art (not Scrapbooking), Origami, and Wrought Iron.
All 1st Place winners receive $15, 2nd Place winners receive $10, and 3rd Place winners receive $5.
All entries will be judged on Sunday morning and will go on display after the judging is finished. The Art Station will be open from 11 am to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday. Artwork must be picked up on Saturday morning.
